User Manual
Running the Xentara Licence Server as a Service

Normally, the Xentara licence server should run as a background service that is started automatically when the system boots up. Under Linux, the Xentara licence server package contains a service unit file for the systemd service manager. Under Windows, the Xentara licence server includes a Windows service that can be used to start the Xentara licence server at system start.

The Xentara licence server service is not started automatically by default. After installing the Xentara licence server, you must manually enable the service to run if you which to use it. Make sure that you have properly configured the Xentara licence server and installed a valid licence before starting the service, or it will terminate with an error.
