Xentara requires a model file to run. The model file is a system specific file, usually called “model.json”, that describes the specific way in which Xentara should operate on this particular system. The model file should be placed into one of the locations described in Location of the Model File.

The installer also creates a Windows Defender Firewall rule to allow incoming connections to Xentara from private networks. This will enable clients to access the Xentara WebSocket interface, as well as any server skills, like the Xentara OPC UA Server or the Xentara Web Service. You can modify the settings of the firewall rule to fine-tune access to Xentara.
