The board element as an I/O component is the main element of the Xentara Hilscher cifX driver.

A board element represents a physical Hilscher cifX board installed on the host machine. Each board contains one or more channels as its children.

Board elements have the following members:

Attributes

key	The board’s primary key.
name	The board’s name. The name is the last component of the primary key.
UUID	The unique UUID of the board.
type	The board’s element type. For Hilscher cifX boards, this is always “cifX board”.
category	The board’s category. For Hilscher cifX boards, this is always “device”.
boardName	The board’s name acquired from the cifX device driver.
boardAlias	The board’s alias acquired from the cifX device driver.
boardId	The board’s id acquired from the cifX device driver.
boardChannelCount	The number of channels the board provides.
boardSystemError	The board’s system error acquired from the cifX device driver.
