The Xentara Modbus driver uses a hierarchy of Xentara I/O components, skill data point, and I/O transactions to represent the devices it communicates with. The Xentara Modbus driver uses the following components:

I/O components:

• Modbus TCP devices
• Modbus RTU devices
• RTU Busses

Data points:

• Coils
• Discrete inputs
• Holding registers
• Input registers

I/O transactions:

• Polls
