The Xentara Model in the Xentara user manual

The Xentara Modbus driver uses a hierarchy of Xentara I/O components, I/O points, and I/O batches to represent the devices it communicates with. The Xentara Modbus driver uses the following components:

I/O components:

  • Modbus TCP devices
  • Modbus RTU devices
  • RTU busses

I/O points:

  • Coils
  • Discrete inputs
  • Holding registers
  • Input registers

I/O batches:

  • Polls
